Grant Eligibility & Rewards
As a member of the WHSA, you’re eligible for classroom grants and special perks throughout the year. These grants provide essential resources to support your innovative teaching ideas and enhance the learning experience for our students. Stay engaged and take advantage of these opportunities to bring your creative visions to life!
Some of the exciting initiatives we supported during the 2023-2024 school year included:

There are two ways funds are available to you from the WHSA:
Annual Grant Allocation

Total Allocation: For the 2024-2025 school year, the WHSA has set aside $3,000 for grants.

Application Process: Grant forms will be accepted on an ongoing basis and funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Grant Limits: To ensure fair distribution, individual grants are capped at $500, allowing multiple projects to benefit from the available funds.

Purpose: Grants should be used to purchase items that enhance the student experience in academically, socially, or culturally enriching ways.

Approval Process: All grant requests are subject to approval by the WHSA Executive Board.

Supplemental Grant Monies

Beyond the Annual Allocation: The WHSA understands that some grant requests may exceed the $500 cap or the total annual allocation.

Encouragement to Apply: We strongly encourage all staff to submit their ideas, regardless of the cost or effort involved. We want to support your innovative ideas!

Approval Process for Larger Grants: Grant requests over $500 will be reviewed and approved during monthly WHSA meetings. If you would like to advocate for your request, consider attending the meeting where it will be discussed.

Collaborative Solutions: For larger or more complex grants, we may work together to fulfill your request over time, through specific fundraising efforts, or by forming a temporary committee dedicated to your project.
